Ravago Styrenics
Ravago was founded in 1961 by Raf Van Gorp and today is one of the biggest service providers in the global market of plastics, rubber, and chemicals.
In 2012 Ravago Group decided to extend its portfolio by acquiring two manufacturing units of Expandable Polystyrene. In the end of the same year, Ravago took on board MONOTEZ S.A. in Greece and EASTCHEM A.S. in Turkey (nowadays EPS Kimya A.S.).
In 2018 Ravago Group expanded its position in Polystyrene business in Europe by making one more step. The company acquired Dow’s plant in Lavrion and established Ravago Lavrion Polystyrene.
With 3 production plants in Greece and Turkey Ravago Styrenics is one of the biggest volume-wise European producers of Polystyrene: Expandable, General Purpose & High Impact.
Ravago Styrenics’ materials are available in nearly every EMEA country, meeting a wide variety of customers’ needs.
MONOTEZ S.A. was founded in the early 1960s by Valamonte family. It initially produced only boards of Expanded Polystyrene used for thermal insulation of buildings.
In 2006 an EPS production plant in Izmir Turkey was founded by Valamonte family, under the know – how of the sister company MONOTEZ S.A. The new plant was named Eastchem A.S. and it was the first EPS producer in Turkey.
Ravago Lavrion Polystyrene
Established in 1960 by the renowned American multinational chemical corporation, Dow, it transitioned to the ownership of the Ravago Group in December 2018
