Ravago Styrenics
Ravago Styrenics is a major European producer of Polystyrene.
Total annual production capacity of XXX MT of EPS and XXX MT of GPPS and HIPS Sales in XX countries worldwide Ravago Styrenics is a part of the Ravago Group family. Ravago was founded in 1961 by Raf Van Gorp and today is one of the biggest service providers in the global market of plastics, rubber, and chemicals.
MONOTEZ S.A. was founded in the early 1960s by Valamonte family. It initially produced only boards of expanded EPS used for thermal insulation of buildings.
It was around 1950 when BASF develobed EPS under the trademark STYROPOR and the production of EPS in Schkopau was one of the biggest responsibilities of Schkopau industrial park.
In 2006 an EPS production plant in Izmir Turkey was founded by Valamonte family, under the know – how of the sister company MONOTEZ S.A. The new plant was named Eastchem S.A. and it was the first EPS producer in Turkey.
Established in 1960 by the renowned American multinational chemical corporation, Dow, it transitioned to the ownership of the Ravago Group in December 2018
